About Isaiah

As a teacher and former foster child, Isaiah has witnessed firsthand the profound successes and deep failures of how the government delivers services. Whether you are appealing your property taxes, finding a doctor on County Care, or are navigating County regulation, Isaiah believes that interacting with government should be easy, fast, and painless; Isaiah will build a better Cook County government that keeps taxes down, makes taxpayer money go further all while ensuring that our social safety-net is strong and humane.

Isaiah lives with his spouse, Alex, in River North. He has spent his career lifting his community up, advocating for his students and for a more effective government for us all.

Isaiah’s Priorities

Isaiah cares deeply about effectiveness in government; our institutions must have the ability to get things done. Whether we are building a new “L” line or highway interchange, designing a new benefit program, or expanding the Sheriff’s investigatory office to better clear crimes, government must have the ability to complete projects on time, on budget, and deliver the results promised.

On the County Board, Isaiah will build a government that delivers public safety, lower, more equitable property taxes, and robust social services centered on the individual, all while taking on the endemic culture of corruption, self-dealing and insider baseball that defines Cook County’s government. Isaiah will deliver a clean government that works.
